
He has a degree in Production and Music Technologies from ESMAE and a master’s degree in Interactive Music and Sound Design, from FEUP. However, his musical journey began in 2016, working as a producer and casting a wide network with several profesionals of the area – from musicians to sound techinicians.
Since then, a continuous desire to learn and expand horizons has defined him as a professional, being now the proud founder of Above The Record. Wether as a producer or as a musician, he doesn’t limit himself in genres or influences; on the contrary, he lets inspiration come from everything (and everyone) around him. His goal is simply to make good music.

Gabriel brings a complementary vision to production and shines with his organisation skills. As well as accompanying the musicians in the studio, he’s in charge of pre-production, working with our artists before the sessions, analyzing their individual difficulties and potential in order to raise their level.
His degree is in Music Production and Technology (ESMAE), but his musical education began at the age of 7. He attended the Gulpilhares Cultural Forum Music Academy (2013-2018) and studied at the Porto Conservatory of Music (2018-2021).
As an artist, he explores music in its most varied formats – from classical to jazz, also venturing into alternative and even metal. You can always expect a platter full of fresh references, which allows the creation of rich and original sounds.

His interest in music came through the electric guitar when he was a teenager. But being an guitarist wasn’t enough, he needed to peek behind the curtain, thus entered the world of production.
Recarding education, he has a degree is in Electronic Music and Music Production (ESART) and a master’s degree in Interactive Music and Sound Design (FEUP).
His tastes run the gamut from JPop to Metal. Therefore, he is all about exploring fusions or crossing styles, having a great fascination with the magnitude of orchestral productions.

She’s in charge of photography, videography and social media management of our studio, being also available to offer communication and image services (or consultancy) to our artists – from planning to editing.
She’s currently working in videography and post-production, but has also dabbled in music, dance and design, finding a permanent home in audiovisual. With a degree in Communication Sciences – Journalism (FLUP), she’s now finishing a master’s degree in Documentary and Experimental Cinema (ESMAD).
In the meantime, she worked as a freelancer, favouring portrait,editorial and concert photography and photojournalism. She took part in different productions, as producer and DOP and has directed two short films.
